Bad things happen to everyone. Often, though, people do not realize when a problem is really a legal issue. Did you lose your job? Perhaps you were fired illegally. Did you lose your home? Maybe your landlord or bank broke the law. In cases like these, you might benefit from legal assistance.
CuroLegal and its partners have made a tool that flags common legal issues for your situation. Check out the Legal Checkup for Veterans page to find out if you could benefit from legal help.
Legal advice clinics for veterans are held periodically throughout the year.
Stateside Legal is a national website for members of the military, veterans, their families and advocates. Their goal is to help you:
- access benefits,
- find free legal help, and
- better understand your legal issues.
New: Stateside Legal now has a guide for veterans who want to upgrade their discharge status.
