Legal Aid of Wyoming Inc. is a federally funded, non-profit law firm providing legal assistance to low income individuals living in Wyoming. Legal Aid provides representation in many, though not all, types of civil cases. Legal Aid of Wyoming cannot represent defendants in criminal cases.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Ombudsman Program

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Ombudsman Program acts as a systems navigator and advocate for individuals, families, caregivers, providers, and community agencies who need assistance related to mental health and/or substance abuse.  This program offers free state-wide services, which include providing information and education about available substance abuse and mental health resources, connecting people to needed services, assisting with concerns and complaints about substance abuse and mental health services, and collaborating with state and community entities to improve the quality of life for persons in need of substance abuse and/or mental health services .

Wyoming Children’s Law Center, Inc. focuses on legal matters that affect the health, education, safety or well-being of a child or adult with disabilities. Types of legal services include: education issues like suspension, expulsion or special education services; helping youth and vulnerable adults gain access to necessary services, resolving child custody disputes, court ordered mediation, acting as guardian ad litem for a minor child, guardianships, and supervised visitations.
